Game Play: The objective of the game is to finish the level without running into enemy ships or asteroids. The stars and shields are what you are really looking for to safeguard your Rocket Ship; they contain everything you need by way of weapons and defensive systems. You may also pick up bonus points on the way. Some handy tips for playing the game:
- Avoid ramming into enemy ships, as they do the most damage.
- In the midst of battle, do not pursue the enemy ships as they will come to you. Just stand still and take aim…
- There is no shortage of ammunition; so keep one finger ready on the spacebar (firing button).
- Pick up the stars and shields as soon as they appear on the screen. If you delay, it may just be too late.
- When fighting against the enemy mother ship (Mission Over Mars), follow the mother ship and fire into its exhaust to destroy it.
- When accompanied by other Earth Ships, follow safely at a distance. The other Earth Ships will be in the firing line and take the damage!

Graphics: This is an Arcade type game, with graphics oriented towards the Arcade game player. The planets are groovy to look at, though the Rocket ships would have been more impressive had they been somewhat larger with additional details. There are two displays at the upper corner of the screen: a Status Indicator (as your ship is hit, it turns red) and a Sector Map (the red dots are the enemy ships). However, there is not much time to think or to look at the displays.
Creativity & Innovation: Each mission is different, with a different objective. On completing all the missions, the player can advance to the next level The first level of the game (Invaders from Outer Space) consists of eight missions:
- Mysterious Meteors
- Lunar Landers
- Mission Over Mars
- Adrift in the Asteroid Belt
- Journey to Jupiter
- The Secret behind Saturn
- Neptune Nemesis
- Pursuit near Pluto

Conclusion: Though the graphics may not be great to look at, the game is reasonably fun to play. Addictive? No, not really, but one has the feel that the storyline is advancing as one completes each mission in the level. Would one spend hard money to buy this game? Well, that depends upon your perspective – if you are a child (aged anywhere up to twelve years old), you probably would; though if you are a parent you would perhaps say that you have seen it all before. The game achieves what it realistically set out to do, so who is one to really complain?
