Cupertino, California based Studio Radko released Starbounder, a 3D space arcade game for iOS and Android. Consumers can install Starbounder on their IPhones, IPads and Android devices for $1.99. Studio Radko offers both SD and HD versions of Starbounder.
As you may have guessed Starbounder takes place in …. space. Wow. What a shocker. The game opens about 5312 years after the craft left its base. You play the role of the pilot and must guide the ship towards its mission goal.
You pilot the ship using the in game controls on the screen. The ship floats above a platform in space. Tap the left button on the screen to power up the ship and hold the same button to reduce its speed. Tapping the button on the right causes the craft to jump in the air. You control the ships left to right motion by tilting your device.
Once you fire up the ship you must maintain it position above the platform while sliding left to right collecting the pink star looking items. As we write this description we realize the Starbounder doesn’t sound to original but it does present a challenge to keep the damn ship above the platform because once you turn the ship on it moves at a rapid speed unless you hold the left button down.
