UK based Independent game developer, Rubicon Dev, released Great Big War Game, a turned based multi-player strategy game on both the iOS and Android platforms for $2.99. GBWG follows Rubicon’s mega hit Great Little War Game. The game stars Jenkins and a not so smart General named Generalissimo. Generalissimo kindly shared a photo of himself posing in his bathing suit for the HarryBalls Bathing Suit Edition.
Here’s the Great Big War Game Description from Rubicon Development:
“In Great Big War Game, players will take control of Jenkins as he fights to prevail in battle while receiving orders from the dimwitted Generalissimo. Gamers will take turns moving and attacking across the 3D hex-grid battlefield, using land, sea, and air units to defeat their foes, all while adjusting their strategy around ever-changing enemy movements. With 50 original levels spread across a cartoon-like world, and a tutorial for newer players, Great Big War Game mixes the best features of strategy board games and PC titles. For the first time in the series, added cross-platform multiplayer will enable players to seamlessly wage war across their iOS, Android and other devices. Battles play out asynchronously, so gamers can start a battle on one platform and finish it on another.
Great Big War Game features:
Massive Campaign – 50 challenging single player missions start off simple and evolve into an all-out warzone
Online, Asynchronous Multiplayer – Battle Android players from an iOS device or take on iPad players from an Android tablet… it all “just works”
Skirmish and Pass ‘n Play – Compete with friends locally on a single device, or against the AI opponent on the multi-player maps
Huge Variety of Units & Buildings – Grunts, tanks, snipers, flamethrowers, and bazooka infantry all mean business! Keep an eye out with scouts as team engineers capture enemy fortifications
70 Multiplayer Maps – Wide variety of levels keep every game fresh, with different strategies for hilly terrain, deep jungles, remote islands and more
Customizable Armies – Manage in-game resources to suit any style of play; choose whether to chip away with a dozen grunts, or bet it all on a fearsome warship
The Softer Side of War – Appropriate for all ages with silly characters, hilarious unit sounds and an overall “plastic toy soldier” vibe to keep the mood light, even when the action gets fierce
Full Retina-enabled Graphics – Turn-based war battles have never looked so good
Game Center Achievements – Show friends and enemies who’s boss with Game Center integration.”
