We like to highlight apps that may inject some humor into our lives. With a name like “Harry Balls” would you expect otherwise? We came across Hollyweird Zombies, a free ios game consumers can download to their IPhone, IPod Touch, and IPad using iOS 4.1 or later. What does Hollyweird Zombies do? As you might guess its a Zombie themed side scrolling game that let’s you turn photos of your favorite and less than favorites folks into Zombies so you can destroy them with weapons like machine guns and chainsaws. Admittedly the game mechanic won’t win any awards for innovation but Hollyweird Zombies may help you blow off steam.

Connectrode iOS Puzzle Game Download
We came across a fantastic puzzle game for the iOS platform called Connectrode created by Deep Plaid Games who say Tetris, Drop7, Dr. Mario, and Bejeweled games all influenced the game design. Many many game developers and publishers uses the adjective “addictive” to describe their work. Rarely does it apply. In the case of Connectrode we use words hypnotically addictive to describe this great puzzle game. (more…)
Zepi Dark Rabbit Hole iOS Game Download
Ostin Games released Zepi:Dark HD 1.2, an iOS game with a new feature called the Rabbit Hole, a parallel world where characters like TimePills and CrazyRockets which act as power-ups reside. If you grab one of the characters before the hole closes they will help you score higher in the game. In Zepi Dark you have to form as many links as possible between same characters either Skulls, eyeballs, vampire teeth and a blue heart shaped bottle. California based Doriguzzi Studios, released Nuclear Hipster, where you have to save your bandmates by locating all the nuclear bombs before the timer goes off. They call the game an instant cult classic featuring anarchist aliens, robot dinosaurs, and bear-sharks. We call Nuclear Hipster a game that lacks direction, fun and any sort of engaging game play not worth the $1.99 price. They should give it away for free and attempt to make money through ads. (more…)
Temple Run Out On Android Today
Imangi Studios released Temple Run, a well known treasure hunter running style game, for “select” Android devices. Temple Run requires Android version 2.1 and higher. The Android marketplace will auto-detect the compatibility with your Android device when you connect. In Temple Run you direct the main character, who looks kind of like Indiana Jones, escape from an ancient temple as crazy dark colored creatures chase him. You make him avoid obstacles by directing him to slide jump or stick to the side of the escape route. Temple Run climbed to the top of the iOS app charts when Imangi Studios first released the game which costs nothing on Android. Fans of the Temple Run game created the above trailer for the fictional Temple Run Movie. If you like fast paced action think on your feet games you will enjoy Temple Run.

Scotti Studios released a free version Save the Monster on the iOS Platform. Consumers can play this PacMan game clone on their iPhones, IPads and IPod Touch devices. In Save the Monster you help the cute cuddly little monster escape from the clutches of the evil robots by guiding him through maze looking level. Canyon Dash iOS Game Download
Gavin Clifton, a one man indie game developer, released Canyon Dash on the ios platform for $0.99. In Canyon Dash, you guide a railroad cart down train tracks by tilting your ios device. You collect gold and gems for bonus points and dynamite to blow up giant boulders blocking the track. We like the tilting element but would like an option to use touch to guide the rail cart. The options to choose come very fast and tilting the screen makes it harder to see them. Maybe the game developer designed the game that way purposely. You will get your money’s worth with Canyon Dash.
St Chicken Game Kickstarter
Freshaces, an indie game developer, launched a Kickstarter campaign for their game called St. Chicken. In the game you play as St. Chicken, a lost pet guppy with special healing powers. St. Chicken will be released for both iPad and iPod, iPhone and PC/Mac.

Rovio, Rovio where at thou? Pigs and Birds in space. NASA involvement. Rovio released Angry Birds Space for multiple platforms – iOS, Android, PC and Mac. Somehow Rovio transported Angry Birds and innocent pigs in space where the birds take their anger issues out on the sweet little pigs. For those of you who haven’t been to space the laws of gravity and physics work differently than on our planet. For example when you fling an Angry bird on earth at first the bird rises towards the target but the Angry Bird’s rate of elevation slows to the point it starts to drop. In Angry Birds Space the Angry Birds will move in a straight line unless something changes it collides with an object like a moon or satellite to change its direction. (more…)
