Here’s a trailer for a game called Runman: Race around the World created by Tom Sennett and Matt Thorson. They plan to release the game next week October 1st. Feel free to check the trailer out. The game looks very interesting and we love their choice of music for the sound.
Big Brain Wolf by Frima Studo Inc. is the story of a vegetarian, genie wolf who’s mother has been accused of eating little red riding hood’s grandmother. To save her, he must meander through various fairy tale settings, solving puzzles. There is also an area to ‘train your brain’ which has no storyline and contains 6 brain-boosting games.
Ever wondered what it would be like to be Indiana Jones? With the new game, Crystal Cave Classic by Rake In Grass, you’ll get your chance. This is a game that will not only provide hours of classic adventure play but also train your brain to solve logic puzzles. Laxius Force II is a bizarre experience. I suspect English was not the first language of its creators (“Your lecture of my mind..” is a particular gem) and it seems to have been designed with a handheld gaming console in mind rather than a PC.
Popnus Puzzle is a match three game that has something for everybody. Unlike standard match three games, the object you select switches places with any other object it touches. This sets it apart from other match three games where you only switch two objects side by side.
I had to admit that I haven’t given computerized card games a fair shake in the past, especially if they take the form of titles the likes of Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic: The Gathering. Such things just get too complicated to keep track of. As such I was initially hesitant to even give Spectromancer a try, since that’s exactly what it is.
I’m glad I changed my mind. Aside from a few little irksome flaws, this is a really fun game.
Banjo and Kazooie, Ratchet and Clank, Solid Snake and Otacon, Sam and Max. All these pairings have two things in common. First, they act as partners, working in sync to beat their respective games. And, second, they all come from GOOD games. This may be a good lesson for video game designers, as duos seem to work wonders for a title.
Gotta say, the first screen shot of Mad Skills Motocross didn’t fill me with much confidence. Plain old dirt bike game. Dull.
Don’t make my mistake. Play this game. You will love it to death. (Literally.)
There’s been a renaissance in adventure games, thanks to the rise of independent game developers and free, powerful tools like Adventure Game Studio. Ben Ward and Dan Marshall made their adventure game debut in Ben There, Dan That! and have returned for their first commercial title: Time Gentlemen, Please! If you think a game made with a freeware engine isn’t worth buying, think again. Time Gentlemen, Please! is a painstakingly crafted adventure in the tradition of classic 90′s LucasArts adventure games. And on top of that, it’s hilarious.
