Pixofactor released Gaslight a free to play steampunk themed strategy game for both the iOS and Android platforms. The game trailer above acts only as a teaser and doesn’t show any element of the game play which leads us to believe the game doesn’t offer much new in terms of game play. Our experience with Gaslight so far reinforces this conclusion. The game takes place in a land called Eastland where two groups, The Coalition and The Underground, fight over natural resources. Pixel Elephant released Puzzled Rabbit, a sokoban style puzzle game for the IPhone, IPad, IPod Touch and Android platforms priced at $0.99. Players help a rabbit move boxes around 200 levels. Not a very original game concept. Puzzled Rabbit also comes in an HD version on the IPad. (more…)
German based Handy Games released Candy Carnage, a free Android game download. Children and families may want to avoid Candy Carnage.
Candy Carnage takes place in Candyland where the local butcher boys, apparently bored with life, decide to corral the princesses of the land into meat grinders. The game player must save the princesses by tapping your finger on each prince before she sinks into the meat grinder. (more…)
Hidden Variable Studios released Bag It!, a new grocery bagging puzzle mobile game, on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and Android devices. Bag It, offers 50 levels of puzzles and challenges. The game player must bag virtual grocery items like Eggs, milk, potato ships ideally without breaking them. You are able to re-arrange items in the bag, even turning items right side up. I wonder if professional grocery store baggers would consistently score higher than the non bagging human. Bag It includes some elements from Tetris but it’s a little more involved. Bag It costs $0.99 on the iOS platform and $1.99 on the Android platform. Mind Splat Design released their first game called Avoid-A-Ball for the iOS and Android platforms for $0.99. Spoonbill provided the sound effects.
As the name states you must avoid the tadpole like ball by shooting your ball around from tooth to tooth. You can earn power ups by directing the ball into the stars and also by colliding your ball when its enlarged into the ball you normally avoid. Everyone will enjoy Avoid A Ball. (more…)

Spellbound Entertainment released “Giana Sisters” on Android platforms for $5.52. The game tells the story of Giana who lives in a fantasy dreamworld collecting diamonds. The android version of Giana Sisters includes 32 remastered levels with a total of 80 levels in all. Spellbound also offers 10 expansion levels which can be purchased separately. They will release additional expansion levels over the next few months.
According to Spellbound Entertainment, “The Android version of “Giana Sisters” is characterized by a completely new set of graphics and intuitive controls. The player can control Giana with his fingers on the screen in an easy and obvious fashion.”
“Giana Sisters” for Android supports five languages (English, German, Spanish, French and Italian). The soundtrack is inspired by Chris Huelsbeck and legendary as always.
Sony Ericson Xperia smartphone owners will be happy as the game as the game is optimized for Xperia PLAY.
