Denmark based Happy Camper released Pearls, an action puzzle game for the IPad, IPhone, IPod Touch for $0.99. You take control of the Sam the happy pearl and must to draw a line through the other pearls floating down to the ground. I agree consumers will easily understand the objective of the Pearls. Since the pearls are moving or floating you must draw the line through the anticipated path of the pearl as opposed to drawing the line through the pearl’s exact location. (more…)
Bangkok based Pic Soft Studio released an update of their iOS side scrolling tower defense called Tiny Defense, the mobile version of their PC game called Minirobot Wars. Tiny Defense features the side-view, platform-like world with cartoonlike graphics where you defend against the invading horde of mechanical robots. (more…)
Danlabs released this game trailer for their upcoming iOS racing game called Dynastunts. Like the game Bike Baron which we featured last week, the Dynastunt game player controls a motorcycle rider who must overcome obstacles using stunts like loop to loop while avoiding the deadly traps. The controls look simple. You can make the driver lean forward or backward and control the bike’s speed. We look forward to seeing how Dynastunts compare to Bike Baron. (more…)
Here’s a trailer for an upcoming ios game called Space Tap described as a tower defense/line drawing game. We haven’t played Space Tap yet but we are sharing our observations based on the game trailer. You are the Space controller managing a cargo delivery business. You draw lines to lead the ships into the docking stations hopefully without causing the ships to crash. You have to watch out for competitive ships and asteroids.
Apparently the Gorg, from the upcoming game Unstoppable Gorg by Future Mark Games, don’t plan to join 99% occupiers in Oakland California or New York City anytime soon as you can see from this picture.
In the downloadable tower defense style game Unstoppable Gorg you defend our solar system from an alien race by sending satellites into orbit around planets, moons and space stations. However unlike all the other tower defense style games, in Unstoppable Gorg you can move your satellites even after you have placed them. When the Gorg armada attacks you can move your satellites around their orbits to best defend against each wave. (more…)

The Bike Baron Game player guides the Dudley Doright looking main character as he rides a motorcycle on a narrow Hotwheels like track while going through loops and avoiding obstacles like explosive oil filled drums. Finland based Kukouri Games plan to release their first iOS game called Foozles. Based on the game play trailer it looks like Foozles must require the gamers to draw something like planks to guide the Foozles from the entrance to the exit of each puzzle level. We have seen at least one PC game employ this kind of gameplay before. Kukouri describes Foozles as “a skill based puzzle game with exceptionally strong audiovisual style that differentiates it from other puzzle games.”

XMG Studio released Powder Monkey, an action arcade monkey’s battling bugs game consumers can download to their IPhone and or IPad for $0.99. In Powder Monkey the world has emerged from another ice age where monkeys and bugs battle each other for the surviving assets in the world. This mobile game features the good guys i.e the monkeys led by Beardy McEyePatch and the bad guys (the bugs) led by Fidel Mantis. The Monkeys and Bugs battle each other in wooden 17th century ships using watermelon cannonballs, rockets and umbrella bullets which ward off the flying missiles. (more…)
