Kot in Action Creative Artel released Steel Storm™: Burning Retribution, Episode 1 described as a downloadable top down shooter game that reminds us of early arcade games with extremely sharp graphics. Consumers can download Steel Storm to their PC, Mac and Linux’s computers for $9.99.

We find this Zombie games trend perplexing, alarming and slightly disturbing so we thought should investigate the matter. Why are zombies popping up in downloadable video games, what’s or who is behind this? Should “regular” game characters be fearful for their jobs? Do Zombies work in video games for lower salaries? TimeGate released their downloadable action shooter game called Section 8: Prejudice for sale on XBox Live Arcade, Steam, Games for Windows Marketplace, Direct2Drive, and Impulse for $15.00. A zombie creating plague has exploded on islands in the Caribbean and the game player takes the role of a fearless British ship captain who must rid the islands of the zombies after wrecking his ship in a storm. Dead Meets Lead costs $19.99. Dead Meets Lead’s Game features include:
Seven weapons (three melee and four ranged), like the Mace, Blaster and Hand-cannon. Dead Meets Lead’s Captain gets more furious as he kills more zombies. The more he kills the angrier he gets. Keldyen Interactive calls this the rage system.

Pathea Games released Drains, a downloadable platform game for the PC. Consumers can download a trial version of Drains or buy Drains for 14.99 from Direct to Drive. In Drains, a man known as the King of the Seas has blocked six “drains” in the worlds ocean, causing the water to flood over all the land. The hero has to unplug the drains by combating over 20 types of enemies. Drains offers 15 to 20 hours of game play. We installed Drains and couldn’t get past the opening screen asking us to start a new game or continue an existing game. (more…)
Cargo: Quest for Gravity Game Download on Steam
Ice Pick Lodge and Viva Media released Cargo: Quest for Gravity on Steam, a downloadable action and adventure game. Angry Gods created a new breed of beings called Buddies while reducing Earth to a series of small islands and removing gravity from Earth’s atmosphere. The game player must pursue fun quests while finding a way to return gravity to earth. The concept for this downloadable adventure and adventure game looks interesting but we haven’t played it yet.
