We recently sat down with Occulus Rex, one of the aliens attacking earth in the tower defense style downloadable pc game from Puppy Games available for purchase at $13.37. In general Mr Rex treated us with disdain but showed some patience by waiting to eat our writer until after the interview which was kind and considerate of Mr Rex. Occulus Rex refused to share his picture for fear of being targeted by the earthling’s facial recognition software. Consumers can download Revenge of the Titans to their PC, Linux or Mac computers. Puppy Games released a revamped demo version of their single player downloadable Tower Defense style game called Revenge of the Titans. Consumers can pre-order this downloadable real time strategy game for $13.37, a nice round number. Puppy Games will charge $27.72 when the game launches.
The titans are, wait get ready for this, an extraterrestrial group of beings pissed off at the earth people, not specifically the Americans but who doesn’t America piss off. The earth forces successfully defended earth and defeated the titans a few years earlier. The titans are persistent little buggers so they decided to give the invasion of earth another go.
Your task, should you decide to download and install this real time strategy game, is to defend the earth at all costs by making strategic decisions about weapon defense placements, and defense related R&D. As you progress through the game levels, you gain access to more weapons and technologies which will help you beat back the mangy titan hoards.
Winter Wolves released Love and Order, a mystery dating simulation game just in time for Valentine’s Day. The game opens you are Dana Larose, a new secretary at the Crowne Attorney’s office. On her first day on the job Dana finds an envelope containing a cryptic message about Case Number ML-265. As Dana quietly investigates Case ML-265 she meets her co-workers and the various bosses deciding whom to date and when (even though workers shouldn’t dip their pens in the company ink.) The game offers four datable characters each with a different ending. We will publish a complete review in the coming weeks. Winter Wolves created versions of this downloadable game for Windows, Mac and Linux for $19.99.
Anawiki Games published Soccer Cup Solitaire, a fantastic downloadable game which combines elements of solitaire and soccer, known as football to most of the world. Available for Windows, Linux and the Mac Anawiki offers this game for $6.99.
The Soccer Cup Solitaire game player, representing countries like Brazil, England, Spain and the United States, must match two cards of the same value, for example a two of hearts with a two of clubs. The player moves down the soccer field and scores goals by stringing consecutive matches of the cards of the same value together. Players can earn wild cards and find bonus cards which lead to mini games. Soccer Cup Solitaire offers an interesting twist on the classic and one of the most popular card games ever invented, Solitaire. It will take you a few minutes to get familiar with this version of Solitaire but once you get the hang of it the downloadable game gets addicting pretty quickly.

World of Goo Game Review by Tim Peters
Game Rating = 5/5 Balls
World of Goo by 2D Boy must be seen to be believed. It started in 2005 as Tower of Goo; just another rushed-together game in the Experimental Gameplay Project. But thanks to its runaway success, this prototype mutated into a complete game that defies expectations and demands attention. World of Goo is a construction/puzzle game like nothing you’ve played before, and nothing you’ll ever play again.
In each of World of Goo’s stages, all you have to do is get the little balls of goo from their starting base to a pipe somewhere else in the level. Building towers and bridges and whatever else the demented designers have in mind for each level is as simple as dragging one ball of goo to another ball of goo. But these aren’t your usual building blocks. They sway, they collapse, they shudder. They’re alive and they’re always watching you. Even when you sleep. (more…)
