Do you like word games? Do you like games like Bejeweled and Diamond Dash? If answered “yes” to these extremely challenging questions then you will enjoy Word Carnivale, a new word puzzle game created by San Diego based Playscreen.
In the playful carnivale themed Word Carnivale puzzle game you must create words from the letters on the balloons before the timer runs out. When you successfully create a word the balloons pop and balloons with new letters replace them. The game forces you to open an account using your Facebook login data or an email address. We guess this encourages virtual social interaction but we this irritates us. Just let us play the game without having to let the world know what we are doing. Is that too much too ask?

Frozen Gun Games plans to release Freeze on puzzle game on the Android and iOS platforms shortly. The Hero named happy who looks like an single Eyeball disappears without explanation. Some one abducted him. You must help him escape by rotating different worlds and your device to free him.
“Freeze!” will launch on Nov 29th on Apple App Store, Amazon App Store, Samsung App Store, B&N NOOK Store and Google Play. The game will be free to play on iOS and Google but will cost $1.99 on Samsung, Nook and Amazon.
Freeze looks like it could entertain. We will see soon.
Too Easy Games released Trap Mansion, a sliding puzzle game consumers can play on their IPhones and IPads. Trap Mansion costs $0.99.
Trap Mansion takes place in a haunted mansion filled with deadly traps like cracked floors and ghostly sword swinging knights. The Trap Mansion game players guides different individuals by running, sliding and jumping around the obstacles. Trap Mansion plays better on the IPad unless you have really tiny nimble fingers.
RedTribe, an Australian based game developer released Hairy Balls, a free puzzle game for the ios platform consumers can download to their IPhone and IPad devices. The Hairy Balls game offers an unoriginal sliding puzzle game mechanism. Each level takes place on what looks like a flat grassy elevated plain. You must slide the balls around the grassy plain to solve the level. It’s free to play but you can buy hints to help speed up the progress.
One word of warning. The game sends us push messages. They didn’t ask for our permission to do this upfront like most games do and we cannot find a way to turn them off. Not cool.
Netherlands based Indie game developer Digital Dreams released Cowbeam, a confusing mess of a seek n find with hints puzzle game for the iOS platform priced at $1.99 but consumers can buy for the first week at $0.99. The game confused us equally on the IPhone and the IPad. (more…)
Czech based CBE Software released this trailer for a video game called Vampire! coming to consumers PC, iOS and the Android platforms sometime in the 4th Quarter. The trailer showcases a new character, the Vampire Queen. The trailer looks like the game might offer reverse tower defense but they describe Vampires! as a fast paced puzzle game. Does the Vampires! game trailer look like a puzzle game to you?
Indie game developer Misfits Attic released their first pc game called “A Virus Named Tom”, a puzzle game on sale for 25% off the $9.99 price. A Virus Named Tom offers a well executed take on what we call a connect the pipes to let the water flow puzzle game. Don’t get us wrong. Misfits Attic designed very difficult puzzles. (more…)

Oryzano Game Mobile released a puzzle game on the iOS platform called A Maze Ing Labyrinth 1.1 priced at $0.99. A Maze Ing Labyrinth offers a series of mazes to solve starting with small simple mazes to more complex ones. As you solve each individual maze you earn clues to a larger puzzle. As you should be able to see from the screenshot the mazes lack creativity and originality. (more…)
