Intermediaware released Captain Blackwater, a downloadable puzzle game priced at 9.99 euros for the PC and Mac. They describe Captain Blackwater as a puzzle game with new mechanics but they didn’t release game trailer or a downloadable playable demo so draw your own conclusions.
Small Fun Games created Hammer Pengiuns, featuring the heroine, a pengiun named Gwynn who must free her animal friends and neighbors from a frozen life. They are literally frozen in ice. Hammer Penguins reminds us of Mahjong with cartoon animals rather than tiles covered in chinese letters. When you start a game you will see a screen that looks similar to a typical match 2 game but have no fear this game is much better than most match 3 games. Consumers can buy and download Hammer Penguins for $9.95.
The game player must find and match two like animals in the ice. When you do, Gwynne, the hammer wielding heroine penguin pounds the matching animals out of the ice. As the challenges get more difficult the number of similar looking but not the same animals increase taxing your brain cells.
Gaia Dream Creation released the 2.0 version of their jigsaw puzzle game called Gaia PC Jigsaw Puzzle 2, a video game that enables players to create their own jigsaw puzzle game using their own images with up to 2000 pieces. Gaia Dream Creation of offering this downloadable puzzle for 50% off ($9.99) through October 6th 2011. The game uses a real 3D space allowing gamers to play like traditional jigsaw puzzle games on table which removes the restriction of the computer screen. In this version the game developers have made the game and its controls more intuitive.

Spaghetti Studios released Angry Boars for the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Requires iOS 3.0 or later for $0.99. Angry Boars features a character named Rasher Basher, an earth pig who must work around mazes and traps set by the Angry Boars while collecting cookies and soda for rewards.
South Korean based Indie game developer AQSystem, in collaboration with Magic Cube, released the iPad version of the puzzled game Toast The Chicken in HD for $0.99. In Toast the Chicken HD you play as a scientist who must simply toast or burn the chickens wthout harming the other scientists. (more…)
Spelagon, creators of games like Mulver $14.95 and most recently Heavy Hogur $9.95 have released a an update for the latter. The update includes a game editor which allows paid Heavy Hogur users to create their own rooms. The video above explains how the game editor works. The update also allows consumers to share rooms with the community, fast forward through the game, and fixes a few bugs.
