Because of your character’s ill behavior and bad manners, the old lady says “you will pay for your evil ways” and the spell is cast. Your character finds herself on Fairytale Island and she must travel the land and serve drinks to the villagers. If she doesn’t learn humility, she will have to stay on the island forever.

There are three levels of playing. The easy level will provide you with 20 different recipes, medium has 28 recipes and the difficult level has 38 recipes that you will need to learn and prepare for customers. But not to worry, if you don’t remember all of the ingredients, a recipe book is at hand with step-by-step directions on the preparations. Gems are also collected to purchase upgrades at the general store.
Each day at your shop, customers who are child-like characters that resemble anything from fairies to miniature witches, will place their orders. Sometimes the order has only one drink but many times they have multiple requests. The drinks range from simple coffee-flavored hot chocolate to slime-flavored topped with green warts. Stars along the bottom of the ticket will count down while you prepare the drinks.
The start of the game has several options that you can play. The story mode includes the storyline that lasts 50 days. Other game modes include the freedom modes that you can either play using the game recipes or recipes you have created. The create and share mode allows you to create custom recipes and share them with your friends.

The graphics are cartoonish without much animation. When the order is complete, the customer simply disappears. The sound has “fairytale” type music playing in the background. Other than the customers greeting you with “hello”, this music is basically the only sounds of the game. During play, the music isn’t noticeable and sound isn’t required to play the game so it can be turned down so as not to be distracting.
The creativity and innovation are typical for this type of game. However, the game has gone a few steps above by creating some very interesting recipes and allowing you to create your own specialties. The extra modes make the game more interesting and worth the purchase. There are a lot of options and game play for the price of the full version. I rate this game a 4 out of 5.

After playing Virtual Farm by Alawar Entertainment, I have found it to be quite unrealistic and a game that quickly becomes boring. Personally, I did not like it; I enjoy games that are a challenge, and this game was far too simple. To give it a rating, I would say it is no better than a 2/5 for children, a 1/5 for everyone else.

The game is far too stereotypical and idyllic with very little creativity or innovation. Seeing as I live on a farm, I think the game designers know very little about farming and have instead developed a game more along the lines of home gardening; farmers do not grow grass, they grow hay as any 3-year-old living on or near a farm can tell you. Naturally the main character is the stereotypical large pot-bellied farmer in plaid overalls and straw hat that waddles around with gardening tools and equipment. There are hardly any setbacks as you play the game, and unless you forget to do something or you make a mistake everything will turn out perfectly. This game has been built from a basic template that has been used by many, many other games, and has no innovation or creativity other than being set in a large garden. I was surprised I did not have to chase any troublesome garden gnomes away; it would have probably been more interesting and engaging.

The game does keep the player involved, through pure micromanagement that soon becomes tedious. The game play is quite weak and the market set-up is quite confusing to understand how to work properly. When one has become tired of the managing the “farm” and has learned what all the commands are, the game loses all appeal.
The graphics are very fluid but are quite simple, and after the initial impression wears off they do nothing to help the weak game play keep the game interesting. The game has very simple and generic sound effects, that like the graphics do nothing to keep your attention on the game.

Overall, the game was too stereotypical, too simple, too unrealistic, too generic and becomes boring quickly.

However, despite all my criticisms, Virtual Farm would be a very good game for children, as it requires some skill with organizing, planning, and managing; things children often enjoy in simple games and can learn from games like this. I know that if I had just been beginning to play games, this would be a fun game that I could learn some basic skills from and apply to other games and situations. For someone looking for a new game that can capture a child’s attention for a little while and teach the child some basics in the process, I would recommend that you consider this game. Anyone over the age of 10 or 11, should consider this to be a 1/5 and move on.

Story line.

It’s the seasonal time, and Emily has to do all she can to cater for the discerning customers of the lodge in the snowbound village of Snuggford. From cooking and serving food, clearing tables and keeping the restaurant in tip top condition, Emily has her work cut out for her. It’s time to decorate and to make the hotel as cheerful and welcoming as possible. Game Play.

The game play is fast and furious. Starting with a relatively easy pace, the player soon realizes that the action needed to keep up with the challenges given isn’t as simple as at first appears. The game caters for different levels of player, which means that those with limited knowledge can get their fair share of fun. Movement of the main character is quick and depends upon the player concentrating on priorities.

Instructions are given for the less experienced player. One of the nice elements is that players don’t have to suffer the flow of instructions if they are already talented at this genre of game. Going from one location to another, the game is varied enough to retain the player’s interest and will appeal to different age groups because of this variety.

Graphics.

The graphics are basic, but in saying that, they need to be. If flash images were introduced it would certainly detract from the game quality. Concentration on game-play is vital to keep up with the challenges set, meaning that if graphics were enhanced, this may distract the player from the whole purpose of the game.

This makes the game more interesting and takes away the element of boredom often encountered with games of this kind. While the world of Parking Dash isn’t exceptional in terms of appearance, the graphics have a colorful and distinctive cartoon-like quality. This, mixed with the vibrant, hand-painted scenery, make the game pleasant to look at. Parking Dash features an excellent, upbeat soundtrack, crisp with the sound of real instruments. In fact, the game’s partnership of sound and animation produce a surprisingly engaging experience. Cars “vroom-vroom” and billow smoke while being driven. Happy customers jump for joy, and being tipped results in a shower of gold coins. If you’ve managed to spark a customer’s fury, they’ll race from the parking lot with tires squealing.

My 60-minute trial of the game went by in a flash and left me wanting more. Unfortunately, I found that the price of the full game wasn’t competitive enough compared to other downloadable games on the market. However, those who aren’t deterred by the price are in for a treat. Pricing aside, Parking Dash is an addictive and memorable game. My rating: 4/5.

Clicking on a customer opens a box to schedule a workout. Pick the equipment that best suits the customer. A green question mark indicates the customer needs an explanation in the operation of the equipment. A red exclamation mark means the customer needs encouragement to complete his workout. A number by the equipment shows how many customers are lined up to use that particular piece. Upgrades for the gym are available after each day. The trainer is also able to be upgraded not with money but by service stars. For things like speed, training and clean-up.

Graphics-wise this game is geared more toward women than men. The trainer is female, however, all the customers seem to be male. Stereotypes are definitely visible in this game, from its bald and mustached customers who only want to bulk up, to its balding janitor. The customers do their workouts smoothly and some need more help then others. Additionally, the customers did not need help going from one station to another once the schedule was set.

Comments made by the customers get extremely repetitive. They also call the trainer “Vicky.” This was not the name that was used on the first screen. Background music does not interfere in overall game play. However, it would have been nice to have a radio. This would have added a fun element to the game.

This game is very similar to other customer services games with only the setting changed. The trainer can not be modified or changed to a different gender. A flaw occurred when clicking on a customer that needed help while the workout box was open. It was impossible to change the selection after it was made. The help hints also got in the way when they show up on the screen. Game play continued while these hints had to be clicked to get them to disappear. This game can easily be beat in three or four hours.

Overall, Fitness Frenzy is very similar to other customer services games with only the setting changing. It is not overly difficult to play and is a family-friendly game. If you like other games that keep the customer happy, then this is a good one to get. I rate this game a 3 out of 5.

As soon as I opened up First Class Flurry, I was immediately let down by the graphics, which were merely childish cartoons. The basic concept behind the game is introduced through a comic book style dialogue, which lets you know that you will be playing the game as a flight attendant, who works for an airline that was just bought out by new management. As the airline’s number one flight attendant, it will be up to you to keep the customers happy, and eventually lead your company to the top of the airline industry.

While the graphics do improve slightly once actual game play begins, they are never the game’s strong point. Fortunately, the game play makes up for this, and provides a fast paced game, which forces you to think quickly, with the added bonus of only requiring one hand to play. The entire game is played by pointing and clicking, which allowed me to enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in one hand, while I served virtual coffee to the passengers with the other.

The game goes something like this: You start out on a flight with only a few required tasks. There aren’t many passengers on the plane, and when one of them has a request, a bubble pops up above their head. By clicking on this bubble, you can see their request, and then bring them what ever they are craving. In the beginning, they can only choose from coffee, tea, or a pillow. As you move through the levels, there are increasingly more passengers with increasingly more menu choices. Eventually, you end up serving hamburgers, French fries, soda, as well as numerous other menu items and services. Sometimes passengers want to be moved to a more comfortable seat, and other times you need to put little boys back in their seats before they cause mischief. Also, be prepared for turbulence, which requires a swift announcement and quick assistance to your faithful passengers.
The game play builds up as you progress, allowing you to buy better shoes for faster running, a bigger tray for more food, and nicer seats to improve customer satisfaction. After completing the economy class, you can move up to business class, then first class, with each class getting more and more difficult.

First Class Flurry is the type of game I would buy if it were payday, and then kick myself in the foot for it a week later, when I found myself eating Jack-in-the-Box for every meal. The demo version is enticing, and I found myself wanting to continue after the allotted 60 minute trial. I give this game 3 out of 5 stars. It’s a little more entertaining than most free flash games out there, but doesn’t make the grade when compared to most windows games. If you have some extra money and time, buy this game. Otherwise, I’d stick to free flash games which are just as addicting, and leave you a few extra bucks to spend on a decent meal.

At first glance, Daycare Nightmare: Mini Monsters appears to be an easy game to play. But as more babies are dropped off and as you run around trying to appease each of their needs (and these can be many) it can become hectic. But be careful, that vampire baby likes to bite when he’s upset and the little witch can create mayhem with your system of care.

The graphics are great but simple, with an easy to use and understand layout and large letters for easy navigation. I found game play could sometimes be a little slow between scenes during the game and sound was sometimes interrupted and affected. Other than these minor flaws, I found the easy mouse use great especially during some of my more hectic sitting moments!

Meeting along the way some friendly and sometimes scary characters keeps the storyline going. It was interesting and original and I enjoyed meeting the characters that I did meet.

Accompanied by a catchy tune that fits well with the story and game play. Sounds that the babies each made were simple and could have been a little more demanding to add to the chaos that could sometimes occur in the daycare center.

The storyline is original and continues to add twists and dilemmas to this sitter’s life. She is required to move apartments often, meet new monsters and is being investigated by an agency for suspicious activity pertaining to monsters. All this is occurring and you still need to maintain the happiness of each baby monster in her care. The change in scenery keeps the game interesting and so does the hectic nature of caring for these interesting little monsters.

The creativity involved in this game could have been a little more advanced. Some more interaction with the monster baby’s may have improved this, as at times I found whizzing all over the place catering to all their needs didn’t leave me feeling fulfilled, only a little stressed.

Regardless of its simplicity, it was fun to play and was a little hectic at moments and would recommend it as a great game to purchase for the above age groups.
