Rovio, Rovio where at thou? Pigs and Birds in space. NASA involvement. Rovio released Angry Birds Space for multiple platforms – iOS, Android, PC and Mac. Somehow Rovio transported Angry Birds and innocent pigs in space where the birds take their anger issues out on the sweet little pigs. For those of you who haven’t been to space the laws of gravity and physics work differently than on our planet. For example when you fling an Angry bird on earth at first the bird rises towards the target but the Angry Bird’s rate of elevation slows to the point it starts to drop. In Angry Birds Space the Angry Birds will move in a straight line unless something changes it collides with an object like a moon or satellite to change its direction. (more…)
IPad owners should rejoice. Colibri Games released the HD IPad version of their fantastic family friendly puzzle game called Tiny Bang Story. The Tiny Bang Story tells the story of a world called The Tiny Planet, hit by an asteroid and players must point and click their way through the game to recover and assemble the puzzle pieces of Tiny Planet. Puzzle loving adults and children will enjoy playing The Tiny Bang Story on their IPads. Tiny Bang Story costs $2.99.
FDG Entertainment released a 40 level update for their iOS physics puzzle game called Cover Orange which FDG Entertainment originally released last year. The game player must re-arrange items on the screen to protect the main character, an orange from acid rain. Now consumers get 300 levels for $0.99 or $1.99 with the HD version. (more…)
Chillingo and Plain Vanilla Games released a lite version of Moogies, a really simple family friendly game for kids ages 2 to 6. The Moogies are nine animals who live together on Moogie island. Children can call each of the Moogie animals who talk back to them in their own unique language using Plain Vanilla’s own “Vanilla Response Voice Response Engine.” (more…)
A game company named Suspicious Activity released Andy Card Match, a puzzle game, for the IPad for $0.99. In Andy Card Match the game player must match two like looking cards just like the game Concentration. We don’t see anything unique or new in the game play but children and families will enjoy it. You must make life “thrive” by nurturing a little stone using the right amount of elements like fire, water, air and earth. You capture the elements by dragging your finger around each element. You can also drag the stone to meet each element as it falls in the sky. You can also shake your device to use lightning as a catalyst. You can use snow flakes to freeze and slow down elements.

Megacubic released Foodie the Bug, a side scrolling arcade game where the game player tilts their device to keep the main character, Foodie, as he flies around landmarks. Foodie powers his flights with jelly beans and collects ingredients as he works his way towards becoming a master chef. Megacubic produced a unique fun game. Foodie the Bug costs $0.99.

Denmark based Pixel Juice released Egg Punch, a 3D egg themed miniature golf puzzle platform game for your IPhone, IPad, and IPod Touch for free with in-app purchases. In a Egg Punch, a sneaky rabbit stole the feathers from the bird, the hero character. What’s with everyone attacking the birds? Anyway the game player must recover those feathers by aiming the egg (as opposed to the golf) at the feathers situated on each hole of the golf course. Pixel Juice designed each hole with obstacles like the ones you would find on a real world miniature golf course. You can earn coins or buy them through the in-app purchase system.
