Copenhagen based Indie game developer House on Fire released their first mobile game download called Neon Zone for the iOS and Android Markets priced at $0.99.
Described as a gravity based minimalist puzzle game, Neon Zone leverages both phone platforms “twisting” capabilities. Each level is a maze where you have to guide a cube by simply rotating the phone. Each puzzle has multiple solutions. Danlabs released this game trailer for their upcoming iOS racing game called Dynastunts. Like the game Bike Baron which we featured last week, the Dynastunt game player controls a motorcycle rider who must overcome obstacles using stunts like loop to loop while avoiding the deadly traps. The controls look simple. You can make the driver lean forward or backward and control the bike’s speed. We look forward to seeing how Dynastunts compare to Bike Baron. (more…)
Here’s a trailer for an upcoming ios game called Space Tap described as a tower defense/line drawing game. We haven’t played Space Tap yet but we are sharing our observations based on the game trailer. You are the Space controller managing a cargo delivery business. You draw lines to lead the ships into the docking stations hopefully without causing the ships to crash. You have to watch out for competitive ships and asteroids.
PlaySnack, self described “makers of delicious games”, released TurtleWorld, a physics based arcade game for the IPhone and the IPad priced at $0.99. Turtleworld stars Frank, an ordinary turtle tasked with doing extra-ordinary things like shooting Frank’s shell at the bad guys. (more…)
Running Pixel announced plans to release Avatar Ragdolls to the Android and iOS devices (including tablets and iPad) in December of 2011. In Avatar Ragdolls the game player guides ragdoll avatar through a platform world where physics drives the action. Running Pixel originally released Avatar Pixel for the XBox Live Arcade.

Finland based Kukouri Games plan to release their first iOS game called Foozles. Based on the game play trailer it looks like Foozles must require the gamers to draw something like planks to guide the Foozles from the entrance to the exit of each puzzle level. We have seen at least one PC game employ this kind of gameplay before. Kukouri describes Foozles as “a skill based puzzle game with exceptionally strong audiovisual style that differentiates it from other puzzle games.”

We love Worms. Not the kind you use for bait, silly, but the Worms game franchise from UK based Team 17. They have released Worms Crazy Golf on multiple platforms: PlayStation® Network, PC from Steam and for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Golf? Will Tiger Woods make an appearance? XMG Studio released Powder Monkey, an action arcade monkey’s battling bugs game consumers can download to their IPhone and or IPad for $0.99. In Powder Monkey the world has emerged from another ice age where monkeys and bugs battle each other for the surviving assets in the world. This mobile game features the good guys i.e the monkeys led by Beardy McEyePatch and the bad guys (the bugs) led by Fidel Mantis. The Monkeys and Bugs battle each other in wooden 17th century ships using watermelon cannonballs, rockets and umbrella bullets which ward off the flying missiles. (more…)
