Bangkok based Pic Soft Studio released an update of their iOS side scrolling tower defense called Tiny Defense, the mobile version of their PC game called Minirobot Wars. Tiny Defense features the side-view, platform-like world with cartoonlike graphics where you defend against the invading horde of mechanical robots. (more…)
We came across this game trailer on Kickstarter for Crowman & Wolfboy, iOS Adventure game from Pittsburgh Wither Studios. Wither Studios describes Crowman & Wolfboy as “an Epic Platformer with more than 30 levels, 15 environments and 3 play modes. Copenhagen based Indie game developer House on Fire released their first mobile game download called Neon Zone for the iOS and Android Markets priced at $0.99.
Described as a gravity based minimalist puzzle game, Neon Zone leverages both phone platforms “twisting” capabilities. Each level is a maze where you have to guide a cube by simply rotating the phone. Each puzzle has multiple solutions. Mountain Sheep released Bike Baron, a physics based iOS racing game for the IPhone, IPad, and IPod Touch for $0.99. Bike Baron offers simple addictive game play. The Bike Baron Game player guides the Dudley Doright looking main character as he rides a motorcycle on a narrow Hotwheels like track while going through loops and avoiding obstacles like explosive oil filled drums. Running Pixel announced plans to release Avatar Ragdolls to the Android and iOS devices (including tablets and iPad) in December of 2011. In Avatar Ragdolls the game player guides ragdoll avatar through a platform world where physics drives the action. Running Pixel originally released Avatar Pixel for the XBox Live Arcade.
The mobile port will feature gestures, accelerometer and several new gameplay elements.
Finland based Kukouri Games plan to release their first iOS game called Foozles. Based on the game play trailer it looks like Foozles must require the gamers to draw something like planks to guide the Foozles from the entrance to the exit of each puzzle level. We have seen at least one PC game employ this kind of gameplay before. Kukouri describes Foozles as “a skill based puzzle game with exceptionally strong audiovisual style that differentiates it from other puzzle games.”

We love Worms. Not the kind you use for bait, silly, but the Worms game franchise from UK based Team 17. They have released Worms Crazy Golf on multiple platforms: PlayStation® Network, PC from Steam and for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Golf? Will Tiger Woods make an appearance? Wild Games Studio and Alnoor Games released their platform game Gravinaytor on the iOS platform for IPad, IPhone and IPad Touch for $0.99. Alnoor Game originally released Gravinaytor in flash and now has 10,000,000 flash users. In Gravinaytor you have to escape from a lab experimenting with the rules of gravity forcing you to walk on walls and ceilings. This is a fantastic game. (more…)
