Intreped indie game developer known to some as Cliff Harris released this first public battle video from Gratuitous Space Battles 2, the space strategy game coming out later this year on the PC/OSX/Linux platforms. In the video Cliff Harris narrates the pre-alpha battle effects he built into Gratuitous Space Battles 2. Misfits Attic, a San Francisco based husband and wife creative indie game development team, opened the pre-order doors on their latest game called Duskers priced at $20 for the PC and Steam. Popcap/EA released Plants vs Zombies 2 on the iOS platform this evening for free with in app purchases which aren’t cheap. So far it seems to be more of the same game play with new plants, new zombies and new worlds like ancient Egypt.
Positech Games plans to introduce a new alien race called the outcasts to their space strategy game Gratuitous Space Battles. The Outcasts employ some pretty interesting technology on their space vessels. For example the Outcast ship can project a holographic decoy image of a ship to draw incoming fire from their enemy. The images above and below showcase the new game play. Positech Games hasn’t determined the price nor the release date for the Outcasts DLC pack.
Consumers can play Gratuitous Space Battles on the PC for $16.95 and the IPad for $9.95. You can also buy Gratuitous Space Battles on Steam.

IPad and IPhone users can download and play the RTS game Ant Raid from Prank Entertainment through the end of April 26th. Ant Raid normally costs 2.99 for the IPad and $0.99 for IPhone.
