The blobs are rising and they are quite colorful. An indie game studio called Robot Invader created Rise of the Blobs, a free 3D puzzle game playable on iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. Robot Invaders decided to use the free to play business model for Rise of the Blobs with in app purchases.
The player must drop different colored fruit onto the same colored blobs. Then you explode the blog with the fruit by tapping it which also causes the same colored blobs directly next to the blob to burst. You rotate the blobs around the column to hit the highest row of blobs before they reach the column’s top. Players of Rise of the Blobs can earn different power-ups like fruit hammers and coconut bombs.
Rise of the Blobs offers a fun unique game experience even with the in app purchases.
Blendoku, a great puzzle game from Lonely Few, combines sudoku game play with colors. Rather than plotting numbers sequentially you place colored tiles in the right visual sequence. Pretty simple. Pretty amazing game. You can play Blendoku for free on both iOS and Android and it will entertain all puzzle game fans and maybe some visual designers too.

Bulky Pix and Kool Ping partnered to release Turbolab Pursuit, a fun 2D running platform game featuring a mad scientist, grubby mafioso, prototype vehicles and plenty of rolling hills. Consumers can play Turbolab Pursuit for free on their iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch Devices. No word on when they plan to release Turblolab Pursuit on Android or other platforms like Windows 8 or Blackberry.

The scientists zooms out of his lab driving his invention while the bad guys chase him. The number of enemies and their relation to the scientist does slightly confuse us. The mob pursues the scientist but the roles seem to reverse and you will yourself directing the scientist to shoot a little canon mounted in the vehicles hood at someone in front of the vehicle. You can customize many elements of the game from the scientists clothing and accessories as well as many elements of the vehicles. You can either earn coins or buy them at different price points to accelerate your progress.
Turbolab Pursuit offers a fun experience for fans of the rollicking 2D arcade shooting running game.

RedTribe, an Australian based game developer released Hairy Balls, a free puzzle game for the ios platform consumers can download to their IPhone and IPad devices. The Hairy Balls game offers an unoriginal sliding puzzle game mechanism. Each level takes place on what looks like a flat grassy elevated plain. You must slide the balls around the grassy plain to solve the level. It’s free to play but you can buy hints to help speed up the progress.
One word of warning. The game sends us push messages. They didn’t ask for our permission to do this upfront like most games do and we cannot find a way to turn them off. Not cool.
